Therapist Culver City | Body-Centered Therapy
I offer somatic therapy and body-centered healing support in Culver City, CA for adults who are creative, reflective, emotionally aware, and often carrying tension that insight alone has not resolved. You may be navigating grief, chronic illness, trauma, creative blocks, career pressure, or a major life transition that has changed how you relate to your body and yourself. My role in this community is to offer a grounded, relational space where your body, mind, emotions, and creative life can begin to come back into conversation.
I have supported clients throughout the Westside for years, including people connected to Culver City’s studios, design spaces, restaurants, downtown district, Arts District, Hayden Tract, and residential neighborhoods near Palms and Mar Vista. Culver City carries a strong creative and professional energy, shaped by film, media, art, food, families, and ongoing growth. It is a place where people are often building meaningful lives while privately carrying exhaustion, grief, or the pressure to stay adaptable.
In Culver City, many clients come to this work when creativity feels muted, the body feels tense, or life starts to feel more managed than lived. You may be able to explain what is happening, but still feel stuck in the same internal patterns. I offer support that honors expression, pacing, and nervous system capacity, so you can create more room for presence, choice, and aliveness.
Here’s What’s Included
Step 1: Slowing Down and Building Awareness
We begin by creating space to notice what is happening in your body, thoughts, and emotional life. Together we explore patterns of tension, sensation, and response, helping you understand how your nervous system has learned to organize itself over time.
Step 2: Developing a Relationship with Your Inner Experience
Rather than trying to fix or override what you feel, we build curiosity and capacity with what arises in the moment. This may include somatic awareness, relational dialogue, EMDR when appropriate, or gentle movement and creative exploration.
Step 3: Supporting Integration Over Time
As awareness grows, many people begin to notice meaningful shifts, more room to breathe, more flexibility in how they respond to stress, and a deeper sense of trust in their own bodies.

Somatic Psychotherapy
You may be creative, reflective, and emotionally aware, yet still feel stuck in your body. Grief, chronic illness, trauma, career pressure, creative blocks, or a major transition may have left you feeling tense, muted, reactive, or disconnected from your own aliveness. You may be skilled at turning experience into language, work, design, performance, care, or output, while your own body remains tight or unheard. When your inner life is always being shaped into something useful, there may be very little space left to simply feel what is true.
Somatic psychotherapy offers a place to explore sensation, movement, emotion, memory, creative process, and the ways your body has adapted to pressure or uncertainty. Around Culver Studios, Hayden Tract, production timelines, design work, restaurants, and creative pace, this gives your inner life room beyond output.
Movement Therapy
You may be creative, emotionally aware, and skilled at turning experience into work, design, performance, language, care, or output, while your own body feels tense, muted, or unheard. Grief, trauma, chronic illness, career pressure, or creative blocks may be asking for attention in ways that words cannot fully hold.
Movement can open space for what has been organized too quickly into productivity. You may begin to feel where emotion lives in the body, where expression gets interrupted, and where your system needs pacing rather than pressure.
Through movement therapy, we may explore sensation, gesture, rhythm, creative process, stillness, memory, and the ways your body has adapted to deadlines or uncertainty. Around Culver Studios, Hayden Tract, production timelines, design spaces, restaurants, and creative pace, this work gives your inner life room beyond output.
Trauma Therapy
When your life is shaped by output, creativity, deadlines, and collaboration, trauma can stay hidden beneath competence. You may be able to make, perform, design, produce, or care for others while your body remains tense, guarded, or unheard.
There can be relief in no longer turning every inner experience into something useful. Trauma therapy offers space to notice what your body learned under pressure and what it may need now in order to feel less alone.
We may explore sensation, memory, emotion, movement, creative blocks, and protective patterns. Around Culver Studios, Hayden Tract, production timelines, design spaces, and the pressure to keep creating, this work gives your inner life room beyond performance.
EMDR Therapy
Some experiences keep living beneath the output. You may create, perform, produce, design, or care for others while your body still carries old fear, pressure, or pain.
The shift often comes when your system no longer has to keep translating everything into productivity. There can be more room to feel, integrate, and respond differently.
Through EMDR therapy, we may explore memory, emotion, body sensation, and the meanings that still organize your responses. Around Culver Studios, Hayden Tract, production timelines, and creative pace, this gives your inner life room beyond output.
Ketamine Therapy
When your life is shaped by output, collaboration, deadlines, or creative work, depression, trauma, grief, or burnout may be easy to hide until your body and imagination feel muted. Something inside may need more room than productivity allows.
Ketamine therapy can support new access to emotion, memory, perspective, or meaning. What emerges is met through integration, so it can become part of healing rather than a passing experience.
We may explore intention, imagery, sensation, creative symbols, emotional material, and what your body needs afterward. Around Culver Studios, Hayden Tract, production timelines, and design spaces, this gives your inner life room beyond output.
OCD Therapy
Creative minds can become painful places when OCD attaches to meaning, responsibility, harm, morality, health, or identity. You may keep reviewing thoughts, conversations, or decisions while trying to feel completely sure.
This work can support more freedom from the loop. You may begin to create, relate, and make decisions without waiting for anxiety to give full permission.
Through OCD therapy, we may explore obsessions, compulsions, avoidance, shame, uncertainty, and the pressure to get it exactly right. Around Culver Studios, production timelines, design spaces, and creative output, this gives your inner life room outside perfection.
Chronic illness therapy
Chronic illness can interrupt creativity, collaboration, deadlines, and the sense that your body will keep showing up on command. You may still produce and care for others while privately managing pain, fatigue, or uncertainty.
The work can support a more honest relationship with limits, grief, and energy. Relief may come from no longer measuring your worth by output.
In chronic illness therapy, we may explore symptoms, pacing, medical stress, creative identity, anger, and body trust. Around Culver Studios, Hayden Tract, production timelines, and design spaces, this gives room for a life that is not built only around performance.
Religious trauma therapy
If you were taught to edit your desire, voice, body, or truth, creativity may carry both longing and fear. Religious trauma can shape expression, relationships, identity, and the sense that being fully seen is unsafe.
The work can help you reconnect with what feels honest without rushing the process. Freedom may need pacing, grief, anger, and a body that gets to decide what is too much.
In religious trauma therapy, we may explore shame, control, belonging, sexuality, spirituality, creativity, and protective responses. Around Culver Studios, design spaces, production timelines, and creative output, this gives your inner life room beyond inherited rules.

Testimonials
“Danielle is a wonderfully intuitive practitioner who knows how to listen and empathize at a very deep level. She also has a deep, spiritual presence and understanding that can only be attained through real life experiences - In other words she gets it. She really helped me gain clarity on my goals and feel more grounded. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a blend of intellect and intuition.”
Client
"What I valued most about working with Danielle was her genuine curiosity. She made a real effort to understand me rather than fit me into a framework, which helped me build more self-compassion and trust in myself. I always felt like a partner in the process, never a patient being managed. I'm so grateful I found her."
Client
“The space Danielle creates could only come from someone who has done deep excavation work and returned with the medicine of her soul. She is exquisitely embodied, attuned, and holds a torch for others to safely inhabit their bodies and express themselves – no matter where they are on their journey. No matter where I am inside of myself when I enter her classes, I leave feeling more connected to myself and my own expression.”

How does virtual therapy work?
Virtual therapy sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll receive a private link before your session—no downloads needed. All you need is a stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a device with a camera and microphone.
