Movement | Embodied Experiences
A space to practice the experience of being in your
body
Through movement, sensation, creative exploration, and reflection, these individual and group experiences invite you to step out of analysis and into direct experience—discovering new ways of listening to the language of your body, expressing yourself, and inhabiting your life.
This space may be for you if:
You're looking for a guided, experiential way to reconnect with your body, your life, and yourself—not just another conversation.
You're interested in exploring movement, sensation, art, writing, and raw expression in real time.
You want support that includes the body, not only words.
You long for a steady witness as you explore what emerges through movement, creativity, and reflection.
You're curious what becomes possible when you learn through experience, not just insight.
You're drawn to practices that cultivate presence, expression, creativity, and embodied awareness.
This is
the practice.
Here, you 're invited to move before you explain, create before you know, and listen before you arrive at meaning.
Together, we make space for movement, sensation, creativity, reflection, and witnessing. We help you discover what becomes possible when your experience is given room to unfold.
Your body already knows how to
begin
These practices offer a way to reconnect with your body through movement, sensation, creative exploration, and reflection. Over time, new neural pathways can form, supporting greater flexibility, expression, awareness, and aliveness.

How the work
unfolds
Listen
We begin by slowing down enough to notice what's already here. Through movement, sensation, breath, or creative exploration, you begin listening to your body with curiosity instead of trying to change it.

Explore
Rather than performing or trying to get it right, we make room to experiment. Movement, writing, art, reflection, ritual and witnessing become ways of discovering what your body already knows.
Integrate
The practice doesn't end when the session does. Over time, what you discover begins to shape how you move through your relationships, your creativity, and your everyday life.
Hi, I'm Danielle
I'm a somatic psycotherapist and
creative practice facilitator.
Movement was my first language long before I became a therapist. As a young girl, dance gave me a way to express parts of myself before I knew how to explain them. Years later, yoga invited me into a quieter relationship with my body through devotion, repetition, and practice. Somatic and creative process taught me to listen for what was already mine: my body’s own language, rhythms, images, impulses, and ways of knowing.
The Tamalpa Life/Art Process® is one of the lineages that continues to inform this work, alongside somatic psychotherapy, contemplative practice, ritual, and years of movement study and facilitation.
Looking back, none of these were separate paths. Together, they shaped how I understand healing and how I move through the world.
Again and again, people arrive at my practice thoughtful, insightful, and deeply self-aware, having spent years trying to think their way toward change while their bodies are still waiting to be included in the conversation. That's why this work matters to me.
Movement offers a different doorway into awareness. Creative practice gives that awareness somewhere to go. Through movement, art, reflection, and ritual, we sometimes discover what words alone couldn't reach.
These spaces invite curiosity, expression, creativity, and connection—whether through classes, one-on-one sessions, or longer creative containers.

Your practice is already
waiting
Whether through movement, creative practice, or one-on-one exploration, I'd love to help you find a place to begin.

Testimonials
“No choreography. No performance. Just… permission. I noticed how many ways my body wants to move that I usually don’t allow, and how much energy I keep contained. I felt silly, giddy, and almost childlike in the best way. It reminded me how healing it is to let yourself be free—just alive!”
MOVEMENT PARTICIPANT
“It was unlike any other class I’d done before. We went fully into our own immersive, creative flow—no thinking needed. It’s much easier to explain what you get from the experience: a deeper connection to yourself, your body, and your inner knowing.”
MOVEMENT PARTICIPANT
“I walked in feeling sensitive and overwhelmed with the state of the world. The space was cozy and comforting, and it felt safe to express movement in every way my body wanted to move. I left feeling a little lighter. It felt so good to take up space and to remember that I had a body."
MOVEMENT PARTICIPANT
“When I took this class, I was really struggling in the first trimester of my pregnancy. Through this class, Danielle helped me understand and accept my body and its new limitations—something I desperately needed. Danielle has a gift for opening people and bodies up for expansion and awareness.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any movement or dance experience?
Not at all. This space is not about performance or getting anything “right.” It’s about exploring your own body in a way that feels accessible, curious, and personal. All levels of experience are welcome.
What actually happens in a class or session?
Each offering includes guided movement exploration, somatic awareness, and space for reflection. You’ll be invited to move, notice, and respond to your experience in your own way. There is no choreography to learn — the focus is on exploration rather than performance.
Is this therapy?
Sometimes, yes.
Some of these offerings are psychotherapy. Others are movement classes, workshops, or creative experiences. The difference depends on the container—not the depth.
What they all share is a commitment to helping you relate to yourself through direct experience, through movement, creativity, and reflection as much as through conversation. Each offering will clearly describe what it is.
What if I feel awkward or don’t know how to move?
That’s completely okay — and very common. This space is designed to support exploration without pressure. There’s no expectation to move in a certain way, and often the most meaningful experiences come from simply starting where you are.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. You may want water and anything that helps you feel at ease in your body.
How do I know if this is right for me?
If you feel curious about reconnecting with your body, exploring movement, or finding new ways of expressing and understanding your experience, this work may resonate. You don’t need to be certain — curiosity is enough.
Why are 1:1 movement sessions currently virtual?
Right now, all individual movement sessions are offered remotely.
While this may seem surprising at first, I've found that many people move more freely in the familiarity and privacy of their own homes. Rather than asking you to translate your experience into an unfamiliar office, we begin in a space where your body already lives.
As this part of my practice continues to grow, I hope to offer dedicated in-person movement spaces in the future.
